As of January 7, 2007, all US citizens are required to have a valid passport for visiting any destination outside of the US. This includes the Caribbean, whether visited by sea or air.
The prospective bride and groom should be prepared to provide:

• Valid passport/original birth certificate accompanied by a photo of identification such as a drivers’ license
• If divorced, the original or certified divorce decree
• Original death certificate in case of a widow (er)
• All documents must be in English, if not, they must be translated and notarized
